FIELD TRIP

The Intrepid Air Space museum would be a good field trip because it is very conviently located in New York city. It is within the 1.5 hour time limit and can be very educational. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is the only museum where visitors can experience a legendary aircraft carrier, the first space shuttle, the world’s fastest jets, and a Cold War-era submarine. The Museum was founded in 1982 with the acquisition of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier, now a National Historic Landmark, which served tours of duty in World War II and Vietnam.
This is also a good field trip for this class because CAD as used to create everything on the Intrepid. All the planes were designed and built using CAD. The ship itself was also designed using CAD. A tour of this museum would be very educational and help our class learn more about the field.
